Here are the photos of one of my latest projects. We took a master bathroom from contemporary early 2000s (earthtones, black/brown granite) to a clean, fresh classic meets contemporary of today white and gray.
Lest you forget what this used to look like, here it is:
We did an interim update of painting the cabinet, adding new mirrors, and painting walls an off white.
And here is the AFTER again…. some more photos of the rest of the bathroom. We used quartz composite countertops, Carrara Marble floors, and Thassos White Marble for the shower walls.
Eventually there will be some bold, bright art on this large grey wall!
There will be glass installed eventually, but it is easier to see the shower now without any glass doors.
I had the plumber split the water lines behind the wall and then install two separate systems for the rainshower and the hand held shower. That way they can both be on at full strength at the same time. Otherwise what is often done is to use a diverter switch to change from one to the other. But isn’t it much more luxurious to have the ability to use two at the same time?
And another look at the AFTER!
One thing homeowners want is more storage in the bathroom. We were able to create EIGHT times more storage as well as install a second sink in this bathroom, all without using up more of the floor space. Using space going UP is key.
